Olympic cauldron
Cauldron for the Olympic flame. The lighting of the Olympic flame in the cauldron is the climax and the opening ceremony and, if it is sufficiently beautiful or spectacular, the cauldron can itself become one of the symbols of the Games. Indeed, a striking cauldron and a well handled lighting moment have become one of the benchmarks of a successful opening ceremony.
